Leisureland Salthill — leisure centre located on Salthill promenade, containing a 25m swimming pool, a warm up pool, a kiddies leisure pool, Bubble pool, a 65m waterslide, a new gym, a Pitch and Putt course and in the summer months a amusement attraction park right on the seafront. Leisurelands Events Centre hosts various events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences or sporting events.It has a capacity to hold 1,010 for seated events and 1,200 for standing events. The Seapoint Promenade or The Prom — is the longest seaside promenade of Ireland overlooking Galway Bay. Lots of people are walking and cycling on the promenade enjoying the seaside atmosphere. An hotel overlooking the Salthill seapoint promenade is the 3 star Salthill Hotel.
Salthill Beach — sandy and pebbly beaches located in Galway City and Galway Bay. The beach is lifeguarded from mid-May to the end of September. The beach is sandy with rocky outcrops and has little surf. Facilities at the beach include toilets, showers, changing areas and a dive board. The promenade above the beach leads onto the Blackrock to Silverstrand Way. Three beaches are located along the Promenade. Ladies Beach, Palmers Rock Beach and Blackrock. Ladies beach is located just opposite the Galway Bay Hotel Conference & Leisure Centre.
Silverstrand Beach — Trá na gCeann beach just outside Galway City on the Salthill side on the road out to Barna. It is a safe, shallow, sandy beach.
Grattan Beach — beach located just off Grattan Road before you reach Salthill, home to a variety of sea life and an ideal location for a fun family day out.
