Cologne Central Train Station or Köln Hauptbahnhof (Köln Hbf) is the main rail station in Cologne Germany. Its located next to the world famous Cathedral, Kölner Dom right in the city centre.
The hbf is one of the main transportation hubs in Europe, offering local and international travel including S bahn service. ICE and Thalys high-speed trains link Cologne with Amsterdam city centre, Brussels Midi and Paris Gare du Nord. There are also frequent ICE trains to other German cities, including Frankfurt am Main and the capital city of Berlin.
The other important railway station in Cologne is Köln Messe / Deutz rail station, located across the River Rhine beside the Köln Messe Exhibition Center. The stations are linked by the Hohenzollernbrücke.
