Bordeaux-Etat or Bordeaux-Midi is a mainline and main railway station in the French city of Bordeaux.
The station is the main railway interchange in Aquitaine and links Bordeaux to Paris, Sète, Toulouse Matabiau and Spain. A large metal viaduct, also built by Eiffel, carries the railway over the River Garonne. The two-track bridge is currently a bottleneck and is to be converted into a shopping centre, with a new four-track viaduct built next to it.
Air Connections — Bordeaux is served by an international airport, Aéroport de Bordeaux Mérignac, located 8km from the city centre in the suburban city of Mérignac.
