Nice Ville Train Station -- Nice France is connected to the rest of France via the SNCF train network. A direct TGV train (high-speed train) from Paris to Nice takes about 6 hours. The train arrives in Nice at the central station, called simply "Gare de Nice Ville" (not to be confused with the stations at the city limits, Nice Riquier and Nice St Augustin). A tourist office is located within the station and is open daily.
Trenitalia trains connect Nice to Italian cities like Milan, Genoa, Rome and Venice.
The Nice Ville Train Station was originally built away from the city center, however the modern city has populated around the station making it part of the town center. The station building is in its original condition with richly decorated balconies and grand clock, but has also remodeled its technology to accomodate the TGV high speed train.
The Gare de Nice-Ville is designed by architect Bouchot and built under his supervision in 1865, Nice railway station is an imposing building, falling perfectly within the codes of beauty as far as 19th-century stations are concerned, with brickwork, mouldings and vast open spaces.

A staff member at most restaurants will speak a bit of English. But many people you encounter in France do not speak English, and you may want to carry a Berlitz handbook.

Air Connections -- The Côte d'Azur International Airport or Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (French: Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur) (IATA: NCE, ICAO: LFMN) is an airport in Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France. It is the third most important airport in France after Charles de Gaulle International Airport and Orly Airport, both in Paris. It is on the Promenade des Anglais, near l'Arénas and has two terminals. Due to its proximity to the Principality of Monaco, it also serves as that city-state's airport, with helicopter service linking the city and airport.
