Manchester Piccadilly Train Station -- Located close to the city centre on Station Approach, off London Road, Manchester Piccadilly is the main train station in the north-west of England and one of three in central Manchester.

The Piccadilly railway station is located on London Road and Fairfield Street, Piccadilly station comprises 12 terminal platforms covered by a 1880s train shed and supported entirely by columns over a large undercroft, which is now home to the Metrolink light rail system and a car park. To the south of the terminal platforms lie two through platforms (numbered 13 and 14) on the former Manchester South Junction & Altrincham Railway (MSJ&AR).

The train rail station serves intercity routes to London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Cardiff Central and the south, Edinburgh Waverley , Glasgow Central, and routes throughout the north of England.

It takes just over two and a half hours to get to London.

A ten storey office block dominates the stations front. Behind the Gateway House are the station Car Parks. The station serves as a terminus for the Metrolink Rapid Transit Tram, which connects Piccadilly with Victoria Station.
