Madrid - Chamartin Train Station - Estación Chamartín - Spain :

Madrid Railway Station Chamartin -- The Madrid Chamartin Train Station is the smaller of the two stations in Madrid, the larger being the Atocha station. Chamartin Train Station is the railway station for trains going NORTH and EAST of Spain (Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Paris, Burgos...).

The Madrid Chamartin Train Station is located in the north of the city, not far from Plaza de Castilla. Chamartín is 6km from the airport.

International services and trains departs from Chamartin train station to: Bilbao, San Sebastian, Salamanca Avila, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Valladolid, Burgos.

Madrid's has two main train stations, Atocha and Chamartín, they are linked by the Cercanías local train service. Some routes go right through Madrid and visit both stations. There are two stops on the Cercanías line between Atocha and Chamartín at Nuevos Ministerios (which is also a major Metro interchange) and at Recoletos on Paseo de la Castellana (nearest Metro is Chueca).
