Stade de Velodrome Football Stadium -- The stadium of the Michelet boulevard is the home place for the matches of OM since 1937. It was inaugurated by a victory into a friendly game against the Italians of Torino. Previously, the Olympians occurred in the decayed stadium of Huveaune. The Vélodrome Stadium then bore well its name, since cyclist competitions were regularly organized there. Little by little, the steps came onto the cycle track which bordered the ground.

For the 1998 World Cup, the stadium was completely renovated and its capacity was increased from 42 000 to 60 000 places. The crowd record (58 897 spectators) was for the reception of Newcastle (UEFA Cup semi final), april 2004. The four platforms names are from sportsmen (the road runner Jean Bouin, the cyclist Victor Ganay), a historical figure of the 1720 plague (Southern Turn Roze Knight), but also of one charismatic fan who disappeared in 2000 (Northern Turn Patrice De Peretti).
