Portman Road Football Stadium --The Portman Road stadium has a seating capacity of just over 30,000 with 4 stands - Cobbold Stand, Greene King Stand, Britannia Stand and the North Stand.

It has been the home ground of Ipswich Town F.C. since 1884. The stadium has also hosted a number of England youth international matches, and one senior England friendly international match, against Croatia in 2003. It has staged several other sporting events including athletics meetings and international hockey matches. More recently the stadium has held a number of music concerts.

The stadium underwent significant redevelopments in the early 2000s which increased the capacity from 22,600 to a current figure of 30,311, making it the largest capacity football ground in East Anglia. The record attendance of 38,010 was set in an FA Cup tie against Leeds United in 1975, when standing was permitted around the ground. Each of its four stands have since been converted to all-seater following the recommendations of the Taylor Report. Also located at the ground are conference and banqueting facilities, the Galleria restaurant and a club store selling Ipswich Town merchandise.

 Take the A12 to the big roundabout in the Ipswich suburbs. Take the 2nd exit (sign posted 'Ipswich West A1214') into London Road. Follow 'Ipswich A1214' signs for 2.5 miles, straight over the roundabout to the junction at the bottom of hill. Go straight on (sign posted 'Town Centre A1214'), and after a few metres at the next lights turn right (sign posted 'Cliff Quay, Football') into West End Road. Turn left into Chancery Road and at the T-junction turn left into Princess Street and immediately left into Portman Road.From the North:
Continue on the A14 to the junction with the A12, and pick up the route from the South.
