Jan Breydel Stadion Football Stadium -- Olympia Stadium -- Jan Breydelstadion (since 1998, before Olympiastadion). Jan Breydel Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Bruges, Belgium. The stadium - owned by the city - is the home stadium of football clubs Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge. It is used mostly for football matches. The stadium has 30,000 seats and was built in 1975. It is named after Jan Breydel, an instigator of the Bruges Matins, the insurgent that lead to the Battle of the Golden Spurs. Prior to 1999 and the Euro 2000 Championship the stadium was known as Olympiastadion, i.e. the Olympic stadium in Dutch, and had 18,000 seats.
