Goodison Park Football Stadium Everton -- Goodison Park is the home ground of Everton F.C. in Liverpool. It was built in 1892, and now has a total capacity of 40,569 all-seated.

Club Formed in 1878. Despite their recent struggles, Everton - originally known as St Domingo's FC before taking their current name from a district in Liverpool in which they played - are one of the most successful clubs in English football history and have had a place in the top-flight ever since 1954.

The club's most successful periods occurred in the mid-60s (winning the championship twice and the FA Cup) and the early 1980s when triumph in the European Cup-Winners Cup was supplemented by two more league titles and another FA Cup win.

Since then, though, 1995's FA Cup triumph for Joe Royle's 'dogs of war' has been the only bright spot. Howard Kendall was unable to rekindle the glory days of the 1980s despite returning twice to the club, and his side only survived relegation on the final day of the 1997/98 season.

From the North & South:
From the M6, exit at junction 26 onto the M58 and continue until the end. At the gyratory, go left to join the M57 Junction 7. Exit the M57 at Junction 4 to turn right into East Lancashire Road (A580). Follow the road, across Queen’s Drive, into Walton Lane. Goodison Road is less than a mile along, on the right.
From the East:
From the M62, exit Junction 6 onto the M57, go to the end of the motorway and then left onto the A59 Ormskirk. Then follow the same route for north.
From the West:
From the M53, continue to Wallasey and follow Liverpool via the Kingsway Mersey Tunnel. Turn left at the end into Scotland Road, taking the right fork to the A58 Kirkdale Road. Follow the road round for two miles and Goodison will appear in front of you.
