Seville -- Seville is the capital of Andalusia. It is one of Spain's most charming cities. If you're only going to see a few Spanish cities in your lifetime, make one of them Seville. Sevilla represents all that is Andalucian: Flamenco, the horses, toros, gypsies, matadors, etc. and hosts one of Spain's most prestigious and well-recognized bullfighting rings, the Maestranza.
Seville boasts an impressive collection of historical sights, including its Cathedral, which is the largest Gothic building in the world. Other interesting spots are the Moorish castle of Alcazar, the former upper class neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, the promenades along the Guadalquivir river, the rougher Macarena neighbourhood with its Baroque churches, and the oldest bar in Spain, El Rinconcillo. Don't forget Seville's grand festivals, the Semana Santa, held the week before Easter, and the Feria de Abril, held two weeks after Easter Sunday.
