Rome Fiumicino Airport -- Leonardo da Vinci Airport is generally called Fiumicino Airport and is the most important airport in Rome. The other airport (Ciampino) is especially used by budget airlines, charter companies, and military traffic. It is a very busy airport.

The Fiumicino Intl. airport has four terminals: Terminal A is for domestic flights, Terminal B is for flights inside the Schengen territory, and Terminal C and the Satellite Terminal are for all other international flights. A shuttle bus goes every 20 minutes between the terminals, which also goes to the long term parking area.

There are banks, money exchange offices, cash machines and post offices. Furthermore, there are two pharmacies; one in Terminal A and one in Terminal C.

Location -- The airport is located 26km (16 miles) southwest of Rome.

Time zone -- GMT + 1 (GMT + 2 from last Sunday in March to last Sunday in October)

Driving Directions : The GRA ring road, which skirts Rome, leads to the A12 highway direct to Fiumicino; from here, passengers should follow signposts to the airport.
