Milan Linate International Airport :

Milan Linate Airport -- The Linate Milan Airport was originally called “Aeroporto Enrico Forlanini”. It was named after an Italian aviation pioneer who was born in Milan. Linate processes nine million passengers per year and is the second airport in Milan. It is much closer to the city (7 km) than the larger Malpensa Airport and is used especially for domestic and European flights. There is a shuttle bus connecting with Malpensa. The ride between the two airports takes more than an hour.

Location -- Linate Milan airport is situated 7km (4 miles) east of Milan.

Time zone -- GMT + 1 (GMT + 2 from last Sunday in March to last Sunday in October)

Driving Directions : From central Milan, take Via XXII Marzo and Viale Corsica; from the ringroad, take the Linate exit. The airport has good links to the northern Italian road network: Autostrada 8 leads to north Milan and Varese and Autostrada 4 leads to Milan and to Novara, west of Milan. The P41 leads over the Alps to Switzerland via Como, the Autostrada 1 leads southeast to Piacenza, and the Autostrada 7 leads south to Genoa. Most of these major routes are toll roads.
